Different Displays for electricity consumption

Hello,
I tried to track my electricity consumption in Home Assistant, which I only set up yesterday and am still a complete beginner with. For this, I used the Bosch light switches and the Bosch smart plug for the washing machine as a test. Depending on where I look at the consumption data, different values are shown. Additionally, in the energy monitor, the electricity consumption is much too low, even though I set it to 2024.

Can you tell me what I did wrong?

Thank you!

Here is the second image, and these energy consumption figures are likely correct (the smart home components have been only been in operation for about 2 months):

Hi Markus, welcome to the forum!

The energy dashboard doesn’t update immediately/live, could that be the reason?
Otherwise, check that you are using the same entities.

Thank you very much for your kind words!

I just checked again, and the energy monitor is still showing a significantly lower consumption. How long should I wait?

I set up the energy monitor about 4 hours ago.

I used the same entities!

Thanks,

Best regards!

The energy dashboard only shows changes, not the values of your sensors. It also cant import data from Bosch.

Hello,

All right, thank you very much! And how is it now possible to add a few selected power consumptions to get a total consumption?

Thank you!

Best regards!

When you dont want to make an extra template sensor to sum them up, you can add everyone of them to the grid consumption. But if you plan to add total measurements later like a smart meter reader and want to keep the old statistics, you should use a template.
