Dimmer switch quick fix recommendation

I’ve got a kitchen situation where I have a double power point with a light switch on it in a tiled area. I can’t just swap out the existing point and don’t want to cut holes in my tiles for a new one, so I’m looking for a temporary solution that’s battery powered and can stick to a plate or something. I quite like the form factor of the TP-Link Tapo dimmer dial. Something like that would be ideal. It’s to control some lights that I normally control via app but sometimes just want to have a physical switch for.

Can anyone recommend an appropriate solution? Dimming would be nice, but a simple on-off is just fine too as long as it can talk to HomeAssistant. (For context, it’s controlling a group of puck lights that are Tuya ones.)

I don’t care about performance/smoothness. I do have a Tapo hub already for some sensors but no other hubs (apart from what comes with HA.) Purely a bridging solution until I can get a sparky in to do some other work.

What about a smart bulb?

The bulbs are smart already. I wanted to add a smart button to control them physically instead of via app. I’ve done some more digging and ordered an Aquara wireless mini switch. I think that’ll fit the bill. I needed to order a zigbee controller too for it, but I expect I’ll get plenty of use out of that too. I’ve put off getting on the zigbee bandwagon for about as long as I could.

It was, in retrospect, probably not a good idea to use the word “switch” in the title. I think I was really asking about a smart button.

I held off on ZigBee at first(started with WIFI & Z-wave), but it’s a good path for controlling lights via HA and have no regrets.
