I am testing a Dingz Switch from mystrom with motion sensor but cannot get it to work.
Switch is installed, powered and works through it web interface.
I copied the mystrom files from github into the custom_components folder and added to following switch definition in my configuration
That’s the official integration, this is included in your home assistant install automatically. Where did you read that you need to copy it from the original repo as a custom component?
Did you check the official documentation?
Did you found any solution? I have the same issue with a dingz switch.
I tried also the node-red integration https://github.com/ioloSwitzerland/node-red-contrib-dingz with no success, no idea how to configure the node in node-red?
Hello nasgul and stefankumli
I’m very interested in this discussion. I have > 12 myStrom Adapters, 7 Dingz, a lot of Hue’s and try to get run all the things running here and also stuck with different problems, creating my Home Automations.
You are all from where Dingz was first launched?
Perhaps we can stay in touch.
best Regards, Stephan
You bought so many myStrom switches? They are so damn expensive. This week Lidl finally launched their smart home products in Switzerland. They have plugs for CHF 14.99, of course without energy monitoring, but at least it has a neutral.
You did not mention me, but I’m from Switzerland as well, and would love to stay in contact to discuss smart home matters.
Hi guys,
I have not played much with the dingz switch.
My first experience is that is a rather technical integration. YOu have to setup specific calls in the Dingz app which will give you a url to call from HA or spomething like that.
I was hopingthat the dingz object in HA would have simple properties such as
Button press, long press etc and could directly call other HA entities such as HUE lights and so on.
It does not seem to work that way … yet
