I installed homeassistant and it detected the HoneyWell Thermostat Lyric T6r and added it in the web as an integration. For the integration, the thermostat gave me a code I had to put in homeassistant. But after a while it was not working anymore (tried changing temperature but thermostat did not change), so I decided to remove and now I do not know how to make it discover again.
It has been over three months since your question but since I’m working on a Honeywell Lyric T6 and T5 right now, I’ll answer your question in the event it helps you or someone else. It sounds like you connected via the HomeKit Accessory integration. The problem is that removing the thermostat from your HA instance does not “unpair” your thermostat. You need to “unpair.” Once you do this, at the next restart of HA, the HomeKit Accessory integration should re-discover your thermostat.
Steps to unpair:
Tap Screen Thermostat and Select Menu.
Scroll to Reset and Select.
Scroll to HomeKit and Select.
Confirm you want to unpair.
When you restart HA, it will find the thermostat and you’ll need to type the key that the thermostat displays. That’s it!
Hi @ttecles were you able to get this to work over Homekit? I am able to add the thermostat with homekit, but unable to set the temperature. Everything else works fine.
Hello, trying to reconect my T6R to home assistant but HomeKit Controler is repornting that no unpaired device is found.
I’ve did the steps indicated by @tarheelz before, but no succes.
Any other things that should be done: find and erase some config files from HA?
