Disk Full Warning

I have a HA Yellow v1.3. Have a Crucial P3 Plus M.2 2280 1Tb drive installed. I started getting notices that I had less than 1Gb available.

I checked my space I I only have 28Gb to use.

I am assuming I never set my NVME drive properly?. I don’t see it available when I try to move data disk.

I assume it is all the data being tracked and saved by the sensors. I am using InfluxDB.

Any help in pointing me in the right direction to solve this would be greatly appreciated. I would love to not loose my historical data if possible.

Click on the link under “Available Storage…” message. Lots of helpful info there

Hi Patricio Suarez,

You added a 1TB stick but you are not using it and since you are booted off the eMMc I don’t believe there is a supported way to mount that 1TB. I believe the intention of that slot is to put a stick in there and use it as your boot device OR boot from the eMMc and that is the disk you use. Mapping this drive to use causes the same problems as would mapping a USB stick to use, and therefore is unsupported.
It’s one or the other as the boot device and the device you are using as your disk.

I see. In al these years I never checked but I thought I was using the 1Tb stick as the boot drive. Need to install HA on the NVMe and restore from a backup then, right?. Will all my data from InfluxDB come along with the backup?.

A full backup will grab all the addons.
BUT you may have a space problem that will prevent a full backup…

I asked someone and got this…

The NVMe can just be used to move the data partition via the storage menu or to install HAOS directly to it

So apparently you can use it for data storage.
as-is. Might be all you want to do…

I tried that. My HA Yellow won’t recognize my NVMe drive.

I know you said that, and that’s what I thought as well, so they must be mistaken. They are a Discord Mod though and thought maybe they knew something I didn’t.
That’s why I passed it on…
