Do I need https for local access? (I use Nabu Casa for remote access)

Hi,

I run HA container on a RPi.
I use Nabu Casa for remote access.

I use a Mac as my main machine and Safari is well, too slow for HA (there is something very wrong with Safari and Homeassistant).

I have started using Brave browser and have saved the HA page as a web app. However Brave complains vigorously (with a large banner) that HA is not secure.

Should I be securing HA for local access when I already have it secured with Nabu Casa (albeit for remote access)? Securing seems an overly complicated process to me (at least for local only access).

No, there’s not really a need, and it may actually cause you problems doing that.
