Hello everyone,
Kinda tech savvy, but also this is new for me. To the point.
I bought my first ever homeassistant green + skyconnect dongle. Got some hue bulbs connected and also tuya outdoor curtains/blinds switches and i can control them just fine.
There is one problem with the curtain switches tho. They are configured to apply ac power to the curtain only for a set amount of seconds and autostop after (regardless if clicked manually on the switch or in the homeassistant). One of my switches is configured to apply the power for 40 seconds and the other one for 5 seconds.
So what i basically ended up having is that to close the first curtain i need to click ‘close’ and after it is closed (my curtain needs around 20 seconds to close) i need to manually click stop, so the switch stops applying ac power to my curtain for another 20 seconds and possibly burn the engine or smth. The other curtain can’t even be closed because the 5 seconds configured on the switch are too short, and i can’t close it because the switch thinks its already closed after 5 seconds and doesn’t allow me to close it further - i can only open it from that state.
Now to the case. I’ve contacted the manufacturer and ofc the switches can be reconfigured only in the smartlife app and the timings (for how long it should apply power to the open/close buttons) are then stored in the cloud (It’s because the older version of the switch would forget the setting after every powerloss). I don’t have the smartlife app nor the tuya bridge (I managed to connect the switches to HA without it).

Do i need to buy a tuya bridge only for the reconfiguration and then throw it away? Is there a way to add the tuya switches to the smartlife app using the skyconnect dongle somehow?

After the reconfiguration, would I need to use the tuya cloud for the switches to check the timings everytime there? Would I be stuck with the tuya bridge?
Sorry for the long post and thanks in advance
