Do Lepro B1 bulbs work with HA?

I have a couple of Lepro B1 bulbs which I’m trying to configure, but besides a couple of posts which suggest that Lepro might work with the Tuya integration (these don’t) I can’t see anything that confirms whether or not they actually work with HA. Can anyone provide a definitive answer?

Hi ,

It is Tuya. Install with the smart life app and then pull into HA with the core integration, or look at one of the other several custom integrations for Tuya and do it that way.
This is a screenshot from the smart life Tuya webpage for setting them up., just to prove that they are Tuya…

Many thanks - finally got around to trying this. However the Tuya Smart app gives choices of BLE, BLE+wifi, Wifi, Wifi and Zigbee - and I have no idea which one these bulbs are. Any ideas?

I assume that once I’ve selected the right one it should start to connect after I’ve done an on-off-on-off-on reset?

Did you manage to connecte your B1 lightbulbs ? I’m having issues to connect it too

Unfortunately I haven’t been able to yet. I tried using the Tuya Smart app to reconnect them as I described above but I was unable to get the app to recognise them. If anyone has any further tips on how to set them up with the Tuya app I’d be very grateful.

I’m stuck with this too. I tried using the Tuya app to add the bulb, but it just won’t recognise it.
Has anyone work this out yet?

The b1 is the Lepro app not lamp ux. I am having the same issues trying to get B1’s onto HA

So no answer until now. Tuya is not working. Very unfortunate but I presume I will not buy these anymore.

Only way I found was via Alexa… LEPRO XB1 Hacky Workaround

I emailed Lepro about this but the response I got was basically “no we never have and never will”

Can you open it and identify the wifi chip it’s using?
I’m not getting much info from their fcc doc

Nevermind it’s an esp32c3, so you can still flash tasmota or esphome on it assuming the bootloader isn’t locked

Here you are my custom integration for Lepro LED:

Thankyou for this!!!

So i found out that Stefano’s project doesn’t work with the B1, so I forked it and then edited the code to fully work with the B1.

Fully works, tested however you do lose some of the effects that I might be able to work on adding.

Im using this successfully with a number of the lepro products so thanks for the work :). I cant see how to set specific rgb modes though, only basic colours. That could be due to being new to HA though. Any pointers?

so sorry for the late reply, haven’t checked up in a while.

but yeah, i will work on adding this later tonight and try to scrape all the effects from the app, it might take me a while though but i will let you know

I made an account just to reply to this and thank you! got a tonne of these bulbs for Christmas and thought I was going to have to spend the day making my own integration or reflashing the bulbs, but you have done it all for me! Merry Christmas and Thank you!

Hi, great work but is there any likelihood of modifying this to work with the B22 bulbs. I just got some of these for Christmas for my kids room and cant get either of these to link to home assistant. I can use your addon and login, I can even immediately see the bulbs and shows their entities in HA but it doesnt seem to actually trigger them. Any help appreciated.

hmm that is strange, i am not quite certain as it should jsut work, it is possible the b22 bulbs have a differnet commandset but i woulkdnt think so, what does it say in your logs when you change anything.
