I am trying to add two string lights to my home assistant setup. I enter the IP address as it requests and I get an “Unexpected Error”. Tried with both strings.

FYI it looks like, as of the update I just installed (3.0.23) the Nanoleaf Outdoor String lights now pop up in HA within the Nanoleaf integration, which is super exciting if it enables triggering scenes!
But I couldn’t tell you, because in typical Nanoleaf fashion it doesn’t work.
The 5s button press on the device doesn’t seem to do anything, but I did find a “Connect to API” option in the device settings in the app, which seems to put it into pairing mode (win for not having to go outside and press a button), buuuutt then pairing still fails with an “Unknown error”.
Interested to see if anyone else manages to make it work, and how…

I have same experience. The Nanoleaf integration automatically discovers the nanoleaf string lights, but if you try to connect it always says “unexpected error”. The string lights support the API so should work. But the documentation page doesn’t list them, so maybe they aren’t quite supported
