Does automation trigger template update with now()?

so the question is as in the title. It was I think it 0.116 or 0.117, where now() functionality was changed. Since then, you don’t have to add entity_id to templates without entity states, rather the template will update every minute.

Is that also true, when it comes to automation template triggers? The documentation doesn’t say anything about it.

I believe that should work with any template anywhere you put it.

Are you not seeing it work that way? What version are you on?

I haven’t tried this myself. I was just wondering for future reference.
