Does HA maintain internal state of a device

Hey all ,

I was just wondering if there’s any merit in checking the state of a device before activating it .

E.g

If temp low then turn on light

To

If temp is low and light is off then turn on light

Does HA do this automatically to potentially reduce zigbee/z wave traffic ?

No. HA sees the light is on and won’t turn it on again.
