Does it matter if I add Matter device indirectly?

So I just brought my first matter device. A little bit confused with it. The device is Aqara P2.
Unfortunately I can’t add it to Home assistant. So I added to my Google home, then use Google home’s buildin share function shared this device to Home assistant.

My question is, any draw backs if it’s not directly connect to home assistant? Should I wait for the bug to be fixed then try again?

In my Home Assistant I have two Thread Border Routers, should I merge them?

It shouldn’t, and based on the current state of affairs, HA Team is recommended using Google or Apple TBRs instead of an HA based TBR.

I have two Thread Border Routers, should I merge them?

Having a single Thread network with multiple TBRs should provide better device connectivity and overall resiliency.

Thanks for your help. Today I noticed that my sensor will periodically become unavailable. But its always available on Google Home. Not sure its Google home’s issue or home assistant or the sensor?

Its most likely that HA is loosing connectivity with the device, but not clear why.

Somehow,this issue was solved automatically. I didn’t change anything…:grinning:
