Does Moen Flo integration require a subscription

I’m considering buying a Moen Flo. I like the idea of something that can automatically turn off my water if a leak is detected. Does anyone know if the HA integration (Flo - Home Assistant) functions without the subscription, or if it is required (or if maybe the API provides less data if you don’t pay for the subscription)? Thanks!

Hi, @m11k. Did you get a Moen Flo device? Or at least figure out if a subscription is requiredf? Thanks!

I’d love to know this too.

No, I ended up getting a Flume, which straps onto your existing water meter and monitors water usage. The integration, although cloud based, seems to be pretty solid and I haven’t had any problems with it.

I’m thinking of getting this device, ZOOZ ZAC36 TITAN WATER VALVE ACTUATOR – ZOOZ, and setting up a HA automation to close the water main shutoff if any of my leak detectors detect water.

I was also looking into this (I don’t have a Flo device yet).

Is there a monthly fee?
Nope! As of August 17th, 2020, we’ve discontinued the monthly subscription needed to unlock advanced data features. All features and data are now freely available to all Flo Smart Water Monitor and Shutoff users.

It looks like the monthly fee (Flo Protect) is just for an extended warranty and insurance coverage.
