Does waze travel time work in australia

Playing around with travel times but seem to have issues. Region seems to be my main issue reading the logs.

My config is under sensor

  • platform: waze_travel_time
    origin: Goulburn, NSW
    destination: Canberra, ACT
    region: ‘AU’

Can anyone see an issue

Still not having luck with the waze so went back to google till I can find a solution

Seems to be working OK for me in Melbourne. Have my region set to ‘EU’. Haven’t tried with static locations, but I imagine they would work.

sensor:

  • platform: waze_travel_time
    name: Adam > Work
    origin: device_tracker.google_maps_[ID]
    destination: zone.adam_work
    region: ‘EU’

Ok thanks for that. Yep maybe its the EU part but yep that way worked…

Can confirm that your config works for me in Brisbane.

Great stuff, I’ve been looking for another solution since Google stuffed around with travel API and fee for service.

The EU region fixed it for me too. Was going crazy trying to get it going on and off for a couple of weeks.

Edit: Just going to add the error message I was gettting here so the next poor sap can find this thread quicker

Thanks, I was the poor sap that searched on that error! changing my config to EU now

Works fine with EU server. I have home > work and vice versa and distance to home for me and my wife.
