Double wall switch with 2 triggers for 2 separate lights in a single automation?

Hi
I have a double wall switch with 2 triggers that are supposed to control 2 separate lights.
Is this possible to do in a single automation?

I have to ask since I cannot see any IF / THEN sentence in the automation creator.

Or must I create an automation per trigger?

First world problems, I know

Thanks

Edit: Wording could be confusing

are you wanting to use a single trigger to control both switches at the same time or are you using different triggers to control both lights differently?

You didn’t really give much info as to what you are trying to accomplish for us to answer the question.

Sorry, the post was perhaps poorly formulated.
I have changed the words now so hopefully it’s more understandable

But again…

are the two triggers supposed to control the lights together at the same time (ie both triggers either turn both lights on or off together)?

or are they supposed to control the lights individually and possibly different depending on the triggers ie one trigger turns on/off one light and the other trigger turns on/off the other light)?

Two lights that are totally independent from each other.
Only thing they have in common is that they share the same wall switch.

It was just a simple question if I had to make an automation for each trigger or maybe it could be done in one automation… you know; because it’s the same wall switch.

But nevermind. Thanks anyway

Yes, you can, although if they are different lights, you may want them separate.

You need to add a Trigger ID to each trigger, then add an “If-Then” action and choose “Triggered by” for the condition.

If they share the same switch then how would you control them independently?

if you turn on the (single?) switch then the lights should be powered at the same time from the same electrical source (ie the switch).

I’m really not trying to be difficult. I’m just trying to understand the parameters to give you good advice. But what you are saying isn’t making sense to me.

But managing nevertheless.

It is a double wall switch. @MarkWalsh got it right.

Thanks for adding nothing to the conversation…

This tells me that it’s the same (one) wall switch not two switches in the same gang box.

There we have it.

Could be something like (a smart version of) this

Excellent! Thanks for answering.
So there actually is a If-Then action.
Shame on me for not searching properly

OK, this is already solved, but I’ll do some spoon feeding to keep everybody happy.

I’m using one of these, called Aqara Wall Switch Double

to control 2 of these, which in turn control 1 light each:

These are called switch modules, so I guess that can be a little confusing. I call them for actuators.

So, 2 completely independent actuators / switches / lights controlled by the same Wall Switch

Thanks

So it is in fact two different switches installed in one gang box and those two switches actually control only one light each.

It’s not ONE switch. It’s TWO. It’s not “the same wall switch”. It’s different wall switches in the same box.

Sounds a little condescending from someone who is asking for help and wasn’t giving valid information when asked for clarification. Words actually have meaning.

But even then it’s still TWO switches and not ONE. It’s just in a different form factor than the standard switches.
