“Download Diagnostics” - does it only show if it works?

I see “Download Diagnostics” available for several integrations (e.g. zwavejs), but when I tap (on mobile) or click (on computer) nothing seems to happen.

I can’t tell from the documentation if this link appears even if it’s not working, or if something is broken on my side and I should file a bug report.

Can anyone clarify how this should work?

It should begin a download of a JSON formatted file.

K so if I see the option, like for my zwave integration, I should see a download occur when I click or tap? And if it isn’t working I should file a bug report?

You’ll need console logs on your PC press F12 and see if there’s errors in the console.

No one mentioned that you must be using a browser and not the app.

Diagnostic downloads are working for me in the HA app.

I would not want to attempt to read the file on a phone/tablet.
