I purchased a Smartthings multi sensor intending on using it to automate my dryer notifications (I have one for the washer as a plug but that cant be used for the 220V dryer). I am looking for ideas on how to use this or mount it so it picks up the vibration of the dryer. The way it is, just stuck to the side, it does not sense any vibration when running.
I think the heat readout will work but I will have to guess when the dryer is done, like when the temp goes back down to 80. Not as precise as I would like…
