yes, vphone works quite good, you can add contacts, and for the doorintercom contact, you can setup the rtsp stream
There is also a setting to set the delay for rtsp, its default not “0” , so just slide it to 0
Why was videofon removed from playstore anyway? Is there no alternative from that company ?
Seems this one replaced videofon i think? doesnt it have SIP? did you try?
I think Elcom wanted to monetize: the 1.2 version of Videofon was free and freely configurable, the others (I tried all the apk possible) at first start they look for an unspecified server and then stop.
I don’t know if you’ve ever seen it, but if it will be useful to you, I found a lot of information on the German forum of DoorPi, a self-built video intercom.
yeah, just installed elcom access, that doesnt work with SIP
gonna try videofon also
hey @xaviersmith , just installed that videofon, i see G711 codec?
i think PCMU = G711
edit: also , for those static video streams, there are 4 configs there, do you enter an RTSP:// format there? seems it doesnt display me the stream? or di i need to make an incoming call first ?
In the static stream field I wrote the URL of the stream generated by Blue Iris (for me it is [IP]:81/mjpg/[Camera name]/video.mjpg, without rtsp:// prefix), in the past it also worked with iSpy, I think it works with a lot of programs.
As for audio, I’ve only been using iVMS + Asterisk since last night, I don’t know anything about audio codecs yet. At the moment my 8003 does not send or receive any sound, but if you say there is hope, I start to test again with Videofon.
yeah, i think there is hope …
ok, i think it needs an mpjg stream then, not h264
ia hzv it now running with softphones, gonna try with 8003 soon, looking good
there is also an UDP keep active mode, and custom ringtone!
should work with audio, gonna test
see
trying first with sotphones, indeed no audio
strange, maybe a permission issue? i only hear incoming sound
ok, also door opening works
but indeed no audio
strange , it should work, app indeed better then vphone, because you can customize it
there is also a light icon, would be cool to use it for a webhook
Where did you get the screenshot of the audio codecs from?
its from linphone, just want to let you see that PCMU = ulaw
its strange, looks like it works, but there is no sound
dont think its an an audio codec, maybe the app is just too old to work on android 10/11 ?
i see all audio in debug log, but it only works in one direction, i only hear audo from the doorstation, not the other way around
so my guess is that the app doesnt activate the microphone or something
hey @xaviersmith seems there is also an 2.0 version? cant find the apk tough, all those download links are redirecting me to scam site/ads
It might exist. In this thread of the DoorPi forum they talk about it and also talk about another alternative: DIVUS Videophone 4, still present on the Play Store.
what thread? you didnt copy it
there are indeed some divus apps, does it support manual rtsp streams?
I’m sorry, this is the tread:
ok, they also talk about “hager access”
gonna try that divius now
ok, i think its possible with divius to enter RTSP streams, thats looks good indeed
hmm, for some reason, no audo there either? i also dont see any audio codecs to configure
edit: on this site the apk seems newer then the one on playstore, gonna try it , looks better according to pics
https://www.divus.eu/en/products/apps#app_videophone
edit2 : newer version looks nice, rtsp preview works, but no audio, only one way
dont get it
gonna send a mail to them
edit3 : seems when you install the voip windows client, you can also additional install a voip server, maybe you their voip server, and asterisk not suppported
So we return to the starting point: Videofon 1.2 is good but the audio question remains unresolved. If you want, try to explain to me how you can see the audio stream in the debug log, so that I can do some testing too.
