Until recently my energy monitoring setup was pretty straightforward: I only consumed electricity and use “sensor.energy_consumption_tarif_1” and “sensor.energy_consumption_tarif_2” from my P1 cable as “Grid consumption” in the Energy Dashboard.
Now recently I got solar panels installed. By looking at the values of “sensor.energy_consumption_tarif_1” it appears that they only show the electricity which I buy of the grid. If I look at sensor “sensor.measured_power” it appears as if this sensor shows the power my house consumes (regardless whether it comes from the grid or from the solar panels), but doesn’t indicate at which tariff.
Now I am a bit lost on what to do next: I believe that in Energy dashboard I will be able to see the following:
- Electricity consumed (regardless if it is grid or solar) at 2 tariffs
- Total energy produced by solar panels
- Total energy from solar panels which is consumed by myself
- Total energy from solar panels which is sold to the grid (at 2 tariffs)
- Total energy from grid which consumed by me (at 2 tariffs)
Is the above assumption correct and if so: how can I visualise this in Energy Dashboard?
Note: I have not yet integrated my inverter into Home assistant.
