DSMR P1 Smart Meter and Hyper-v

Hello,

I am trying to setup DSMR Smart Meter with the RJ12_Serial-2-USB Cable.
My HomeAssistant is running as vm on Hyper-v Gen2 Machine.
On the Host it self i can connect to the com port using putty and i can see the output. After some searching i found that you can (still) connect COM port to an Gen 2 VM.

Is there a way in home assistant to validatethe data/signel is coming in?
And how would i hook it up to the DSMR Integration?

I just found a description of a possible solution using COMpipe here Attach USB device to Hyper-V guest machine - Microsoft Q&A once I have my cable I will give it a try.
