DSMR Smart Meter gas entity no longer provided error

I have a SlimmeLezer+ device connected to the power meter’s P1-port, that has worked perfectly for some years over the DSMR Smart Meter integration. It read power consumption and gas consumption.

Ever since Enexis replaced my power meter and gas meter a few weeks ago DSMR Smart Meter does still show my power consumption but the gas entity shows unavailable on the Lovelace dashboard.
Clicking down on the gas entity it shows “This entity is no longer being provided by the dsmr integration.”

Enexis checked and the gas meter is correctly paired with the power meter and I have been able to verify they get both power and gas readings.

What can cause the gas entity being unavailable and not getting a gas consumption reading over the P1-port?

First question would be what is the DSMR verison of your new meter?

The SlimmeLezer is designed to work with DSMR/ESMR 5. Working with DSMR 5 means that the Smart Meter can deliver enough power through the P1 port to power the reader. Therefore no extra power adapter is needed to work.

Older Smart Meters with DSMR version 4, 3 or 2 will work to, but will require extra power via the USB-C (not included).

I already read some debate whether the ZIV meter complies with specs and delivers sufficient power to power SlimmeLezer+ over the P1 port.
