I am running the official HassOS VMware image and its running well
My cameras are on a dedicated VLAN, no gateway or routing is configured - just a flat l2 network with 6x IP cameras with static IPs
I want HassOS to be able to connect to the cameras to utilise the streams as i have done in the past, and i know i could make the CCTV VLAN routable and lock it down, but then this has a performance hit on my router
What would be better is to assign the CCTV VLAN to the VM and essentially give my HassOS VM an IP on that subnet, this would allow it to ping/connect to the cameras there
Are there any issues within HassOS if i add a second nic and give it an IP (no gateway - so traffic wont route out)
If there is no issue, once i add it in vmware, how do i set the IP in HassOS, is there some nmcli tool?
