I had my Pi3B+ working great, but now I cannot reach it using my duckdns.org address. The IP address pings, but when I try my_domain.duckdns.org the address isn’t found. I can get by typing https://192.182.3.4 and I restarted duckdns, but that has made no difference. The certificates were updated last week. Any ideas? Anyone else having trouble connecting?
Still working for me.
Check your router hasn’t had an aneurysm and forgotten your port forwarding rule.
Check the public IP address of your router matches that reported on the DuckDNS setup page.
Check your base URL.
Tom,
Thank you for the checklist. My router still has the rules, and the public IP address of my router matches the DuckDNS page.
Could you please explain what you mean by my “base URL”? If you mean the internal address via IP to my home assistant, that works if I use https. Here is the error I get when I use the DuckDNS address:
The webpage at https://mydomain.duckdns.org/ might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.
Try a private browsing window.
i would also check the duck dns domain is resolving to the correct address.
Check your up address using something like https://ipinfo.io/
Then (using command line) type the command nslookup my_domain.duckdns.org
If the two match up, it’s resolving to the correct ip, if they don’t, then you have an issue.
Good suggestion, but no change.
Excellent guidance! Thank you
I checked my ip using https://ipinfo.io/ and it matches the nslookup.
I guess I have an issue
I’m having the same issue on my NUC. Not sure what’s going on.
