After copying some Node-Red nodes, new energy sensors have been created by Home Assistant-NodeRed integration, with the same name but with a 2 at the end, I’ve managed to rename the new sensors with the name of the old ones and keeping the history of their states.
But HA has also created two new cost sensors, but it won’t let me rename them, the old ones still exist with their historical states, but I don’t know how to make HA take the old ones instead of the new ones without historical data.
In the energy dashboard, the old energy sensors have always been configured, such as those of the system.
I Can’t delete ‘sensor.eimport_cost_2’, it’s a hidden entity.
And ‘sensor.eimport_cost’ is marked as restored and orphan but It keep all historical data.
Is there a way to tell HA to use one entity or another to calculate energy costs?
I have the same issue, for some reason HA created a new sensor, but I want to keep using the old sensor.
Where can I configure which long term statistics cost sensor is used?
Anyone figured it out? Facing the same issue atm.
