Easiest way to transfer Zigbee to another dongle

Hi everybody.

Is it possible to transfer all my Zigbee configuration to another HA system with another Zigbee dongle?

If not, how to associate the hardware to the new dongle? Do i have to “unpair” first or not?

ZHA or Zigbee2MQTT? Same chipset or not ?

Zigbee2MQTT.

ConBee2 to SKYCONNECT

WARNING

Migration from one adapter to another requires backup and restore support which is so far only implemented for the Zstack adapter (Texas Instruments adapters). Backup and restore is not supported for any other adapters (ConBee/Raspbee, EZSP and Zigate).

Not officially supported method it is a possible unofficial workaround using zigpy as a third-party command tool for backup and restore parts, see → migrating coordinator from ZBDongle-E to ZBDongle-P · Koenkk/zigbee2mqtt · Discussion #16478 · GitHub

You probably want to test using the new “ember” adapter instead the “ezsp” adapter (though note that it require later firmware) → Improved Ember (EZSP) driver (experimental) · Koenkk/zigbee2mqtt · Discussion #21462 · GitHub

If want to transfer your whole Zigbee2MQTT instance from one computer/installation to a other computer/installation you will still also need to follow FAQ about moving/copying data → FAQ | Zigbee2MQTT

Regardless, if you want help with Zigbee2MQTT then you should really ask in their community instead of here in the Home Assistant community forum for Zigbee which is primarly about the built-in native ZHA integration → Koenkk/zigbee2mqtt · Discussions · GitHub
