Easy configurable scheduler / timer, LogicEditor, Gira Homeserver

Hi there,

I was using “Gira Homeserver” before Home Assistant and so I’m really pleased by a lot of features of Home Assistant but on the other hand, there are some functions, where I miss the simplicity. This are not much, but important features - in my opinion.

My biggest challenge - EASY to use and manage timers.

In Gira Homeserver and its QuadClient it was so easy to do this.
You just select a shutter, click on the clock-symbol and define the timers in this shutter menu. You can define several options like
“monday, 8 am → shutter up”
“monday, sunrise + 30 → shutter up”
Which comes first, happens. EASY.

In HomeAssistant, I didn’t get it until now.
I think, timers are a must have and have to be configurable by everyone without any Add-Ons or automations or (I exaggerate) admin-rights.
Perhapse I haven’t found the right way until now. Therefore I would be thankful for a hint.

Another thing I really miss is the logic editor.
Sure, NodeRed is extensive. But keeping it easy simple and easy is also an advantage. And actually the automation-editor isn’t that easy for me after 2 years of home assistant, likle the gira logic editor was.
I’m still using the gira home server for the most automations, because for me it is too awkward to realize the functions in HomeAssistant.

So long story short - how do I create a scheduler, which is easy to use?

Kind regards!
