Echo Dot TTS without custom components

Hi

I am looking for a way to have TTS on an Echo Dot (Alexa)
without custom components

Alexa is heard via Nabu Cloud
Any ideas?

I don’t think you can.

TTS requires a media player and you need a custom component like Alexa Media Player to use an Echo Dot in that way - in its native state on HA it’s primarily a voice control device, not a speaker.

With Alexa Media player you get the notify.alexa_media service, but it still only uses the normal alexa voice - you don’t get the options you do with tts.cloud_say, which uses Google.

thanks i asked google but couldn’t find a way.
now i know that there is no possibility apart from the custom components.
I have now installed the alaxa media player works well
