Ecobee mode + hold status on stock Thermostat card?

Is there a way to integrate the Ecobee (via HomeKit) “Clear Hold” and “Current Mode” controls into the stock Thermostat card? I can add them to the dashboard, but they appear in a separate card, as plain button + dropdown.

The documentation mentions customizing the Thermostat card to include Climate Action / Set Preset Mode (home, sleep, away, etc.) , but these aren’t available in the Features section when I edit the card.

So it looks like all the pieces are there - what do I need to do to connect them?

I don’t know about those features specifically, but I had the same issue with wanting to run the HVAC fan manually for my ecobee… the integration shows it on Lovelace but doesn’t present it as an entity.

I went to Settings>Automations & Scenes. Click Scripts tab. Click create script, add action. I typed in Climate and it presented a list. If the item you want is there click add action, and then add target on the right. Pick the yellow Homekit icon… you can follow through with your specifics if they are there

It will then create yaml you can paste in your automations in place of the specific entity call… works the same for me
