Ecobee via Homekit stuck reporting occupied in Home Assistant

I have recently set up Home Assistant on HA Yellow and have added multiple Ecobee thermostats via homekit.

I’m seeing occupancy reporting getting “stuck” where it stays on permanently in HA even long after it moves to unoccupied in the Ecobee app.

Is this a known issue? Is it a general homekit problem or specific to the Ecobee? Is there any way to fix it?

I’m not sure if you mean status occupied based on the sensor data, or the modes, home away and sleep. I saw when I first set up the integration with two thermostats using identical code except for entity name, that one of the statuses was stuck on away the other was correctly on home where in the Ecobee app they were both on home.

I mean status occupied… not home/away. But I’ll dig a little deeper and see if maybe the home/away/sleep state is somehow getting intermixed.
