Ecowitt Soil Moisture, Rainfall Integration

I have the Ecowitt GW1104 (base station, outside temperature, humidity, barometric pressure), WH51 (soil moisture) and WH40 (rainfall) system. Is there some way to get these measurements into Home Assistant?

I don’t have all of these sensors, but I assume it will work for them as well. Install HACS if you haven’t already. Then search for the Ecowitt Weather Station in the list of repositories & install it. Restart your HA. Then go to Integrations & find Ecowitt & install that (if necessary – I did this awhile ago & don’t remember whether it was there after the HACS installation). Then you’ll find all of your sensors in the Entities list. Or, under Devices, you’ll find one device; click on that & you’ll see all the related sensors.

@pazzah,
Did you get this working? I’m looking at the soil moisture sensors to control when I run my drip lines in my flowerbed, rather than strictly on forecast, which is what the Orbit B-hyve does. I’m wondering how well it works.

Can you use these without the gateway? Via MQTT?
