Edilkamin pellet stove controlled with "the mind"

B.T.W. I wasn’t using the BT mac. I used this mac before. It is also visible in the DHCP client list.

yeah i found i paired it with BT, i changed it to wifi found the mac on the app, and restart the configuration and still have the same error.
Ok so now i willl stop doing that after short sleep…
i can"t copy MAC correctly…
So i got a dania plus, and i got to switch the app to wifi preferred instead of bt to et the mac on the app, put it in HA CORRECTLY and the app started correctly…
Very sorry for your timed wasted on my fault
Good day and thanks for your work

@alexkoel  my first post was to damienper

Thanks for the Mac adress btw

@damienPer can you share also the 3 octets of your WiFi Mac adress ? This is to improve the dhcp discovery. Thanks

Hi all,

I just want to say “THANKS” for this Edilkamin integration. I moved from Domoticz to Home Assistant and get used to it very quick. I am VERY HAPPY with the Edilkamin integration which works great for me. We don’t use the remote anymore. Screenshot of what I have now on dashboard, thanks too all who have made this possible!

Maybe a littlebit off topic, but I’m noticing that several of you using the Integration for controlling there stove. I’m interested what temparature sensor you all are using. I’m using a TFA on 433 MHz. Those sensors have serious issues with distance to the receiver and are limmited to 5 channels. I also tried Tuya. They are useless because the update frequency is way to long. Local Tuya integration could be an option there, but getting the needed local key is a challenge.

e0:e2:e6. is that what you need?
Thanks so much for your work it works as intended

Yes thanks, he is very strange btw :joy:

I use the sensor that is in the remote. However in my house I use aqara temperature sensor

Hi Nuick,

Stupid question maybe but how do I find the right edilkamin plugin in HACS?

I am not complete blue as I already have the plugin working for a while by direct file transfer and installed it

But I would like to join with the automatic updates…

Where do I need to search for with the magnifier?

Thanks

Ger

Hi @GerAtDronten you may check that :

Hi everyone,

I have been using the Edilkamin integration from GitHub - nghaye/ha-edilkamin: Edilkamin The Mind custom integration for Home Assistant and it was working well for a few days. However, I recently noticed an error appearing in the logs.
Despite this, I am still able to control the stove through https://edilkamin.vercel.app/. Can anyone help me understand what I might be doing wrong?

looks like you got the same error as me :s
@shisva maybe you got an idea on this one ?

Hi Nuick,

It is a while ago as we don’t flame in a warm period. Last winter I automatised and controlled my Lena Plus so perfect with the integration for Edilkamin. Now I am preparing for next winter.

Unfortunately it did stop working properly, while ago I missed fan 2 and now I get more errors that services can not be find.

2 questions:

I installed last year the stove integration file by file end not used HACS. I try HACS now, I am on page for adding custom integration’s and then would need to find your repository, but I find nothing on your name like nghaye or whatever, how do I add your repository there?

Kind of errors I become when I change a setting of stove in frontend, find attached examples, what could cause this?

Thanks in advance!

Ger

For custom-hacs-integration simply add this url:

Done that last week.

Hm, there is indeed something broken in the integration from nghaye:

btw:

i was looking at how to build a bluetooth integration. It won’t be that easy because the communication is encrypted among other things (i.e. the BT payload). However, the source code of the Android version contains the appropriate key, so that would still be possible.

Finally, the Modbus commands are transmitted in the respective Bluetooth packet (and there are many). Unfortunately, the Modbus registers are (of course) not documented anywhere…

Got the same issue and this was wasting my logs. Eventually, I ended up setting the device_class for sensor.alarm_state and sensor.last_alarm to enum which is more consistent. So far so good.

In the recent days i programmed some stuff that runs on a ESP32 and connects to the bluetooth-interface. So no cloud-connect required. Its automatically integrated as a climate-component in HA (MQTT-Discovery).

Power toggle, Fan control, Power level control, Ambient & Exaust Temp., Relax & Automode and Chrono toggle and Temperature-set are currently implemented.

Reverse engineering the bluetooth-protocol wasn’t that easy for me, cause the payload is AES-encoded.
On top of that the decrypted payload is based on Modbus. Done some poking around in the extracted source code of the android-app and did a lot of Wireshark-debugging to get it working.

My pellet stove is a Slide2 7up - so a more recent modell. I think this stuff should work on any Edilkamin-stove that uses the bluetooth “the-mind”-remote-control.

Hi Ben,

thanks for your message. Good to know I am not doing things wrong.

A pity that I can’t control my 2nd fan anymore, I had set scenes for quick warming up in the early morning, both fans full speed, power just max level 2.

Today I had a look if I could hardware control the 2nd fan myselves without need of pcb, I controlled my home balance ventilation with zwave dimmers 0-10v and I hoped to find a 0-10 volt input on the fans as well but no, unfortunately. Fans have a 2 pins connection and even without powered on stove there is 230v AC on the pins. Will ask my collegue monday, what kind of regulation is this, pwm 230v? Will be hard to control with a zigbee/zwave dimmer?

Would be great if some could fix this integration?

Ben, what you have made sounds not so easy, not for everyone?

If that esp32 controls the stove directly without need of cloud I am interested, don’t know where you live and how you could help maybe,

I don’t like the edilkamin remote control function at all,

Ow yeh guys have you discovered as well that edilkamin the mind is now available for Google home?

But very simplified, also no extra fan control, temp setting etc.

Greets,

Ger Wilpshaar

Hi @Nuick,

Would you think this integration could be fixed or updated quite easy?

I have no idea,

I have send app developer Baroni of Edilkamin an email about their Google home/assistant integration which seems to be live now,

Will let you all know what he will reply me

Thanks
