EDL21 not installed in HA?

Hi there,

I bought a Hichi USB IR receiver to integrate my smart energymeter in HA. HA is running in a vSphere VM and the receiver is connected and registered via passthrough:

[594141.132277] usb 2-2.1: new full-speed USB device number 6 using uhci_hcd
[594141.452235] usb 2-2.1: New USB device found, idVendor=10c4, idProduct=ea60, bcdDevice= 1.00
[594141.452245] usb 2-2.1: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=3
[594141.452250] usb 2-2.1: Product: CP2102 USB to UART Bridge Controller
[594141.452254] usb 2-2.1: Manufacturer: Silicon Labs
[594141.452258] usb 2-2.1: SerialNumber: 0xxx
[594141.459588] cp210x 2-2.1:1.0: cp210x converter detected
[594141.468443] usb 2-2.1: cp210x converter now attached to ttyUSB0

cat /dev/ttyUSB0 says:

▒▒bbrcv1

DZG▒▒;rbe▒▒▒bc▒-v▒▒bbrcw

DZG▒▒;b
▒▒rbe▒▒▒tw`2rbbbRDZGw`▒rbbbR

DZG▒▒;▒drbbbRcf▒▒rbbbRbcrv▒▒bbrcqc▒▒

I am confused, because of the symbols in the output.

Furthermore, I think the EDL21 integration doesn´t start although I integrate the lines from the config page. There are no log entries e.g. “sml”, “edl…” in the files. Is the integration delivered with the supervised installation? I have searched for entries in the configuration folder, but there´s nothing looks similar.

Has someone any hint for me to get it running?

did you figure out, how to use the Hichi USB with HA?

I’m interested in this as well. How to send and read data to

Guys,

I mailed my problem to Hichi and he helps me to reconstruct the device to a Wifi one, using a D1 mini. Now it runs as it is designed for. Thanks a lot to Hichi, again!
