EE Router and device tracker

I have a EE bright box 2 router but can not get device tracker to work. Do all routers work or am I doing something wrong

device_tracker:

  • platform: ee bright box
    host: 192.168.1.1
    username: admin
    password: ******

I don’t see that listed router listed in the component page, are you sure a component was developed for that make/model?

I did not see it on the list, so I guess a component has not been developed for it. Could it work under a different router?

You need a dedicated component for it to work.

Try the NMAP or PING component. Both don’t require your router to work.

thanks, but neither worked, I just have to do it some other way.
