Hi,
Just starting out with about 10-15 devices in total, 9 of which are zigbee. I have a dedicated home server and a SMLIGHT SLZB-06M connected via PoE.
I bought a Crosslink Z spot light, planned to buy 5 in total for in the ceiling.
In Zigbee2Mqtt it’s recognized as a EGLO_ZM_RGB_TW:
Although it’s a bit different but all the RGB functionalities are there. Actual model: EGLO CROSSLINK.Z LED Inbouwspot Saliceto-Z 88 mm RGB+CCT
But I have trouble with the usage, turning fast on and off initially works fine but after about 5 times it ‘hangs’ for about 10-15 seconds until it either completes or ignores the command at all.
It’s especially frustrating when dealing with brightness changes: the first 4 steps are fine but then nothing happens.
Either in the Zigbee2Mqtt interface, in Home Assistant or via the Philips Tap Switch (brightness dial nob) it’s ‘hanging’ after a few ‘steps’.
I don’t experience this issue with the other lights or commands. I only have one other spotlight, cheap as hell, but changing color (white balance) is fast and reliable constantly. Beside that there is a Router device near and inbetween the two, the SLZB is only a few meters away (with some walls in between).
Obviously thinking about interference, distance to Coordinator, Routers: it’s still ‘quiet’ on the network. But perhaps something is preventing it from processing a lot of commands (either a router or the device itself).
I guess my question is: How can I easily determine what is causing the ‘hanging’? The famous ‘is it just me or is it the device’?
Unfortunately there aren’t many smart spots with a 68mm cut-out in the ceiling that are black in color and nice looking (wife approval) so hopefully I can somehow fix this.
