Electronic homeowner manual and HA, is there any?

Is anyone using electrical format for tasks/maintenance/improvements etc that would feed information to HA?

I’m looking into if there would something readyish to use. I have most of the items from my house on paper but would like to switch to electrical format. So that I have list to change filters, clean pipes and various other tasks. HA would show upcoming items and I could perhaps even sign those for other family members to be done.

But to get something to HA in the first place would be nice. I have very little coding experience myself so not really able to create anything from scratch.

Most ready systems are dependent on some random cloud, rather expensive yearly fee or bundled with some membership not really interested.

And possibly I would want to avoid simple excel spreadsheet. For example if taking a lot of photos, those should not be just pasted in the spreadsheet and I don’t want to maintain some random library to hold photos.

Look into Grocy. No cloud required. Can all be self hosted. I personally use it in a docker container and there is an integration for HA; but I believe there is also an Add-on if you prefer it that way.
Grocy has the ability to assign to a specific individual or to rotate thru people. Due date examples: clean septic tank filter every 14 days or something like every Thursday take out the trash.
The integration in HA shows the title of the chore and the due date.
A bonus for you is that Grocy is a great little inventory system for your groceries and can make it easy to generate your shopping list. Once you set up an item in Grocy then you can just use you phone and scan the bar code on the product to add/remove from your inventory.
You can also set expiration dates for food such as 30 days after opening.
You can put recipes into it and see what you can make based on your inventory.
A big thing I use Grocy for is that I put all my electronic copies of manuals (PDF) for things in the house into it; such as the insta pot manual or the install instructions for my Z-wave devices.

In a nut shell Grocy does everything you want and more.

Grocy

Note: your title is a bit confusing; reading the post I see you mean electronic. If I were to answer the question posted in the title then the answer would be NFPA 70 (in the USA) which is the National Electric Code; but that is not what you are asking so I won’t state that.

Thanks! I fixed the title.

Haven’t heard of Grocy before, definitely looks interesting!
I’ll make a test run with it.

@taikapanu: also have a look at https://nextcloud.com/, maybe it might be more suited for your needs.

Thanks for the tip @Nick4

Grocy was ok for running repeating tasks and such. But it lacks on database kind of thing and most importantly, I’d say impossible to pass on to next home owner.

Nextcloud didn’t seem to target to what I was looking for. Have to take another look later.

So far I have ended up just writing everything in a word file.
