Eliq and Lifesmart broken?

Hi!
I have the LifeSmart energy meter (https://ilifesmart.co.za/product/lifesmart-electricity-meter-sensor/) that connects to Eliq. But since a couple of months back no data is exported to eliq. In the Lifesmart app I can see consumption and it says it connected to Eliq. But nothing is shown in eliq app or api. And because no data to eliq, no data to home assistant. I have tried to contact eliq, but no answer.
Is there anyone else here who use LifeSmart+Eliq energy meter here? I also have Lifesmart Smart plug with energy monitor and no data there either.

Hi Patrik,

I have the same problem, did you get it working?

Thank you in advance,
/Drago

Hi, no I haven’t gotten it to work yet :frowning:
I have contacted Eliq, but they only replied that the product is no longer supported. I also contacted LifeSmart, they answered but haven’t been much to help yet. Their last response was:

“May I have a video of how to use Eliq with LifeSmart? Please show us the whole process start from authorization/binding two apps.
Though we tried to use, but don’t have Eliq account. Could you tell me how to get this account?
As this product has been integrated into LifeSmart many years ago, we haven’t left any relevant information and sample device internally.”

this is very unfortunate, I use the eliq integration a lot in home assistant

Same here,
I got three eliq power meters connected to LifeSmart. The LifeSmart app is updated with current values but nothing is reported to Eliq. My sensors has been offline there for several months.

Perhaps there is an integration to LifeSmart. Anyone tried this?

Not tried but have seen it. My chinese is not so good
I dont know where to find app_token and app_key either…

Same problem here, regarding Eliq. I’ve aLao contacted them and the answer is just as you said that the device is unsupported.

That’s too bad as the energy meter integration is more needed than ever. I wish we could get Exibea to somehow open up the platform, e g if they are to shut down they servers, let us push data to our own local servers. The hardware is brilliant, so let us use it.

I have been at their office through a friend. Let me se if I can get hold of someone there and if I may, pleas try to contact them. I have four unusable devices at the moment

That would be awesome!! check with them if there is an api you can use so we can write an integration

I have not received any answer from the two founders I met over a decade ago. But the answer from support states that they have sold this part. Perhaps continue to look for a working LifeSmart integration?

"Unfortunately, the Eliq system is no longer supported. The system has not been sold for many years, and we are now focused on other offerings. The system will still be running for you to use, but we no longer provide active support.
Sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause, and thanks for being an Eliq user!
Kind regards,
Eliq!

Recently customers received an e-mail, stating that they’re completely shutting down the operations regarding EliqOnline as of February 1st.

I replied, asking if there’s a chance that they will either push an update to the firmware’s hub, so that we can run our own backends that the hub pushes data to, or if they at least can provide some basic documentation on the API used between the hub and EliqOnline. That way we could trick the hub by putting a custom DNS on our routers and force hub to talk to a local backend. (That backend would of course needed to be written yet, if they don’t open source their solution.)

Today I received a response where they unfortunately state that “it’s not anything we’ve planned for now but we’ll think about it, thanks for your opinion”.

Perhaps it’s time you talk to your friend once more, @Labbs?

No luck!

Perhaps the new Schneider-Electric system/app Wiser they are refering us to will work but honestly, I doubt it. Too soon to tell, although SE’s Wiser for KNX has an API… (docs https://download.schneider-electric.com/files?p_enDocType=Application+Notes&p_File_Name=AN002_109_KNX+IoT+3rd+Party+API+Guidelines.pdf&p_Doc_Ref=AN002_109)
