eMMC 16 GB enough for HA

Hello,

I will install first HA but I dont want to use sdcard. I would like to use eMMC but for rasberry pi4 what I have only found is eMMC 16 GB http://www.uugear.com/product/raspikey-plug-and-play-emmc-module-for-raspberry-pi/

it is enougth to use 16 GB memory ? Minimum required is 32 GB

Depends what else you are doing on it and whether you are using docker. I was constantly having to clean up docker images just to fit new image updates.

Even without it, and a few side applications on my Pi I’m using 19GB so I probably wouldn’t risk it.

If you have a Pi4 then an SSD with USB3 to SSD adaptor if probably the fastest and most reliably option out there. I wouldn’t mess around with eMMC.

Agree, but for now you still need the SD card to boot the OS, as the Pi 4 can’t yet USB boot.
