Emulate FritzBox Smart Home Devices

Hi there,

My Idea:
Control HA Switches etc. via FritzBox FritzFon or other AVM Devices

Requirement:
Therefore the HA Switches need to be exposed to the Frizbox as AVM Smarthome devices (similar the emulated HUE)

Solution:
The Option exists to add AVM SmartHome Devices from another Fritzbox via IP connection
(Heimnetz->Heimnetzübersicht->Netzwerkeinstellungen->Smart-Home-Funktion im FRITZ!Box-Heimnetz freigeben)

Is there anyone with two fritzbox and some avm switch to listen to the communication, how the switch is exposed in the network and then added to the second box?

I have a fritz box… and all is working perfect.

I don’t want to add any fritzDECT switches to HA but add my HA Switches to the Fritzbox (the other way around) :smile:

Share the smart home function in the FRITZ!Box home network

With this setting you share the smart home function of this FRITZ!Box in the home network.

Other FRITZ!Boxes or FRITZ!Powerline devices in your home network then also have access to the smart home devices registered with this FRITZ!Box. The prerequisite is that other FRITZ!Boxes or FRITZ!Powerline devices must support the smart home function.

This setting has the following consequences:

The smart home devices will also be displayed in the smart home “Overview” page of the other FRITZ!Boxes or FRITZ!Powerline devices.
You can also use the switching and measuring functions in the user interfaces of the other FRITZ!Boxes or FRITZ!Powerline devices.
This seting is useful in the following situations:

Your smart home devices are registered with different FRITZ!Boxes or FRITZ!Powerline devices. This setting allows you to access the smart home devices from any FRITZ!Box or FRITZ!Powerline user interface in your home network.
You would also like to access your smart home devices via the Internet when you are away from home, but only one FRITZ!Box in your home network has Internet access. This setting allow you to access all smart home devices in your home network from the Internet.

I am afraid not. Would be nice to control my devices with Fritzphone.

Also, if you use a smart Thermostat from AVM you can use a different thermostats as a baseline (one in the middle of the room for example) but for that you need the thermostats in the fritzbox :confused:

meanwhile, i exchanged the Thermostat for a Zigbee one, but thank you for replying to this old thread :slight_smile:
