An old 300 series fan controller stopped working and I replaced it with a 700 series. I keep having an issue that sometimes (often but not always) it does not react to a low speed instruction when it was a high speed.
HA shows a low or medium speed but it remains on high speed and manually trying to make the change on the switch dopes not work either.
Initially I believed that the switch was defective but I replaced it and I have the same issue. OFF works.
Anyone has an idea what the issue may be ?
I just got the same switch and have the same issue with it. Looks like it’s already on the latest firmware.
After toggling it on and off multiple times it eventually sets a lower speed until turned off again then next time it’s on it has the issue again.
I also noticed that when the speed is set below the max, my fan makes a little thud noise every few seconds, like the power is being cut and reapplied immediately.
Interesting. I guess that it is a firmware issue that hopefully will be addressed (soon ?).
