Hello everyone,
I have a Shelly device (Rosanna channel 1 energy) connected to my meter, and I would like to use this device on the energy dashboard to monitor daily consumption. While setting up the dashboard, I was asked to input a fixed price of €0.5/kWh, and now the dashboard displays the cost, resetting daily.
However, I have a small digital display where I can input values, and I would like to enter the real-time cost value. This way, when I’m in the bathroom and turn on the small 2kWh heater, I can see the real-time increase in my bill.
Can anyone tell me how I can achieve this? I’ve looked for the entity that tracks the cost but couldn’t find it. I have no idea how Home Assistant keeps track of daily consumption, and it doesn’t update in real-time. I would like to create a sensor that provides daily consumption and converts it to cost. I’ve tried looking into the utility meter, which might be suitable for my needs, but I’m not sure how to use it to output real-time cost.
