I would like to add pricing data to the home battery in/out sensors in the energy dashboard, as can be done with other energy entities.
I have a home battery, no Solar/PV, just a battery that I use for price offsets and backup.
The “In” pricing is the cost of the energy, from the grid, generator or other source, at the time the energy was stored, typically done overnight.
The “Out” pricing is the cost of energy, from the grid, generator or other source, at the time the battery storage was used.
If done correctly (buy low and sell high “back to yourself”) then the delta of the Out and In costs is the $$ saved.
Not really a “green” feature, but let’s you track costs and reduce load demand on the grid during peak hours.
