Just got the energy dashboard set up, it’s pretty slick, except it seems to be showing the TOTAL energy consumed by my meter…see screenshot (50,000kWh). The individual devices I’ve added (sonoff s31’s) seem to show up correctly, but Even though I have an “instantaneous” read of the meter, the only sensor i can select is the total meter consumed one (using a rainforest eagle 100 if it matters).
nevermind, I figured it out. HASS doesn’t compute the delta between readings, however I was able to create a utility meter helper after watching a youtube video that does correctly record the usage during the day by hour. now my #'s look correct.
Any chance you might have more detail around how you achieved this? I’ve been trying to solve for the S31 via Utility Meter but I’m unable to get a correct result so far.
