My Energy dashboard has been running perfectly since… Well: since it was introduced. Since two days however the dashboard displays “there is no data to show” despite that data being in the system for years now. I tried rolling back a backup, but that didn’t solve the issue. In the logs there is nothing meaningful that points to an underlying problem. The logbook and long term data is still working on entities. What could possibly be wrong here?
Are there issues to fix in Developer Tools → Statistics?
Nothing there, but I did manage to find the culprit! What happened was that 1 of my Homewizard sockets broke down. In order to check I removed and re-added it in the app a few times. The weird thing is that in the Homewizard app I can no longer see that socket, but the integration in home assistant still sees it and indicates there is an error with. After disabling the entity the Energy Dashboard came back to live again.
I know this is a rare bug, but maybe @DCSBL can have a look at it?
