Energy Dashboard - self consumed empty

Hi All,

I was hoping someone could give me some pointers about the Energy Dashboard not showing me any data in regards to self-sufficiant and consumed use.

I have what I think are the correct devices loaded into the ‘energy’ configuration but they don’t appear to be going into the final calculations (if thats how you could describe it)

Input is :
state_class: total_increasing
unit_of_measurement: Wh
device_class: energy
friendly_name: Smart Meter 63A-1 Real energy consumed

^ is the above going to cause an issue as it’s my ever climbing grand total? (not reset each day)

If anyone else has as Fronius Smart Meter or Inverter could they let me know what metrics to collate so that I can use these dashboards correctly please?

Thanks!

The energy dashboard does not use a “self consumed” sensor. It calculates this from the Grid Consumption, Return to grid, and Solar production sensors. Do you have all three of these set correctly?

Always increasing sensors are not a problem.

thats just the thing… i have got them set, but I’m not sure if they are the correct inputs and was wondering if anyone else had this same issue?

Well your Solar Production and Return to Grid sensors are the same entity. So that’s wrong.

Hi ! Have you had a look at the integration documentation? Fronius - Home Assistant
