Energy Meter

So I have just bought an energy meter from Amazon, this one uses a CT clip and transmits the data back
to the unit.

I want to reverse engineer the comms so I can integrate it into HA. Any ideas on what protocols it may use to talk from the CT Clip unit to the Display? Is there an industry standard approach to picking one standard?
