Where does the solar production forecast come from? I have 16 385W panels so could only ever generate 6.16kW, which is probably still slightly higher than my 5kW inverter could deal with (I know that’s fine) but it regularly shows me an estimate of between 6 and 8 kW (for 5 hours today, most of that looking above 6.2).
I’ve got the modBus integration for dealing with my FoxEss inverter and have the limits set right there. Is there somewhere else I need to tweak?
The solar settings in energy configuration have a section for setting up forecasts.
I think by default it’s handled by Forecast.Solar integration, but I think other integrations can also register forecasting services that can be used. But the settings there should allow you to configure its basic parameters.
Yes, I’ve got it set to get its figures from Solcast PV Forecast, but the only relevant place in those settings that I can see is inverter size, which I’ve got set to 5kW
