Energy panel

Hello , as you can see “total consumption” 12.98 kWh is already the total consumption of the house measured by shelly em , therefore this data should not be added to the total that generates 25,63 kWh , because 25.63 is not true, so I think there should be the possibility on each entity added on the energy tab to flag add or NOT add to the total, (a bit like there is on every shelly device )

Add the individual devices to this section:

Not this one:

Only add your total sensor to that section.

Then the individual devices will not be added to the total, but you still get detailed use graphs:

I can have the graphs but I don’t have the correspondence with the cost in €; and if I eliminate the total consumption, the sum is not good because not all the consumptions of a house can be individually monitored, so the only way is to put a point on each device that says add or NOT add to the total… I don’t think it’s complicated for the staff to solve and I think it’s very useful for everyone…

Its not up to the staff to solve, you are using the dashboard in an unintended way.

Your only other option is to create a template sensor that subtracts your individual loads from the total and use that in the energy dashboard instead of the total.

your idea could be an alternative solution, but certainly not the system to solve the problem, which is undeniable that there is not, in fact as already said it would be enough to put the condition “DO NOT add to the total” on the entities (as seen on all shelly devices)

I’m only going to say it once more, that is not the intended use of the Energy Dashboard.

If you want something different than what has been designed for the majority of use cases you are free to create your own energy dashboard.

so that with every update that is installed all the automations are activated… insert alarm… remove alarm… open shutters… close shutters… turn off all the lights… all this happens every time an update is released and I install it… today the last one… I install it and all the automations start up like crazy… do you want to talk about this…I don’t use it with some makeshift hardware…I bought hagreen and the coordinators zeggbe z-wawe… because I thought that if some idea or suggestion was given to improve the use for the benefit of all…it would also be evaluated and not immediately discarded without a reason

Automations starting up on updates is not a general problem. Some automations are poorly written such that their triggers produce unintended results when the system starts up. Use the traces of the automations to track what goes wrong and adjust the triggers.
As for your question about the energy dashboard, it seems you have a feature request to add the cost to the information about the individual devices. There is a dedicated section in the forums for feature requests, it’s best to add it there, and if there is someone who finds that a good enough idea to put time and effort in, they just might. The ‘do not add to the total’ feature already exists. That is what adding something to the ‘individual devices’ does.

first of all thanks for your best answer…

But the traces of the my automations to track what goes wrong but when it happens…(even an hour ago)…the trace does not show anything bad…and the automation arrives from the beginning to the end I set the initial message of the start of the automation and the final message that the automation has done everything regularly and I notice it because it arrives on my cell phone…I think it’s not a problem because it’s badly written…otherwise it shouldn’t even start…I think…so the problem is from some other reason that is almost impossible to find . As for my initial request…for me it would be enough to have the possibility of excluding from the total…ok you tell me that it already exists…can you help me understand how I have to process “excluding from the total” where should I start?
