Enigma2 box crashes

Hi all,

I just started with HomeAssistant a few days ago and i’m building my Domoticz setup in HomeAssistant and migrating/moving entities 1 by 1.

I have an Enigma2 mediabox (VU+ Ultimo 4K) and i’ve added the following in the configuration.yaml:

media_player:
- platform: enigma2
host: 192.168.192.6

When i save this in Editor, press “Restart HASS”. After it’s back online, the Enigma2 box crashes and shows the bootlogo “VU+”.
Enigma2 crashes keeps on going, sometimes after 10sec, sometimes after a few minutes.
When i remove the lines from the configuration.yaml, restart HASS, the Enigma2 box is back to normal.

Enigma2 box:
Systeem OE: PLi-OE
Firmware version: OpenPLi 6.2-release (2019-05-12-release-6.2)
Kernel version / driver date: 3.14.28 / 3.14.28-20180424.r0.0

Upgraded the VU+ Ultimo 4K to latest OpenPLI with latest Enigma2:
Systeem OE: PLi-OE
Firmware version: OpenPLi 7.2-release (2020-02-29-release-7.2)
Kernel version / driver date: 3.14.28 / 3.14.28-20190424.r0.1

Issue still exists.

I’m running a Gigablue enigma2 box without issue . Can you confirm the Webif interface is working OK by typing http:\192.168.192.6 in a web browser

The enigma2 integration use this API so the above should cause the same issue ?

OpenWebif works perfectly, no issues.

WebApi works good also, does not make the Ultimo4K crash even when i fast-refresh the page.

I don’t have SSL enabled or username/password set. How’s your config?

Exactly the same setup as yours . except i’m running openvix.

is wake on lan set on ?

Hi - newbie here on Home Assistant. I am trying to setup my enigma2 box (zgemma H2S) and inserted the relevant extract from the first post and updated with my IP address of the enigma2 box into my confirguration.yaml file.

Restarted the enigma2 box and restarted Hass (which is running through Portainer, OMV5).

But the enigma2 box is not showing on my overview home assistant page - have i done something wrong?

My enigma2 box would crash each time I turned on Kodi on RPI. Found out that was the Kodi trying to switch TV output by CEC.
