Enphase Envoy integration

I just had solar panels installed and it has an Enphase Envoy to monitor the production. I see there is an integration for this, but it needs the IP address on the local network. My unit is connected to a cellular connection, not my local network. Anyone have an idea how to configure this? I see the Enlighten App has an API user ID. Any plans to use this instead of specifying the IP address?

[UPDATE] I talked to the installer today, he said the Envoy in the combiner box can use both Cell and Wifi. In order to set up wifi (as per directions) you need to unplug the USB cell modem. I’ll update again if I’m successful

I was about to post this question but I see it’s already been asked. Can the integration get data from the cloud based service? It seems a shame for me to buy a second Envoy (and I’m not sure where I would install it) since there is already one in the combiner box. @gregtd

I got this working. Here is more information:

  • If you have a Enphase Combiner box with built in Envoy, it might be connected to the cloud via USB modem. You can unplug that and configure to use your home WiFi instead (WPS worked for me). Once you do that, you will probably see the envoy discovered by Home Assistant.

Do not use the “discovered” integration . Dismiss that notification, then follow all of the instructions in github to install a “Custom Integration” via HACS (including restart). Use your Enphase username and password, enter the serial number of your Envoy (2022xxxxxxxx) in the empty field and click the unnamed checkbox. If you don’t see the box or field, you are using the wrong envoy code.
