Enphase + Octopus Go + Hypervolt

Hi

I have just moved to Octopus Intelligent Go with the Hypervolt integration. This allows Octopus to create adhoc off-peak tariffs (not scheduled) and to automatically charge my car during these periods. Sound fantastic except that as this time if outside of the ‘normal’ enphase charging period the system decides to use the battery instead of the grid. Octopus say its an anaphase issue and guess what Enhpase say its an octopus issue.

With this impasse in mind I was wondering if there was a way within HA of stopping and starting the enphase charging. I could use the Octopus trigger that indicates an off-peak session and use that to start charging the enphase battery which in turn would stop the battery from dumping in to my car.

Hope that make sense

Any ideas welcome

Depends on the firmware version in the Envoy what options are available. Newer firmware versions are more and more restricted on what can be done locally.

Here’s some info on using the tariff endpoint and its schedules to manipulate envoy behavior with recent firmware. But if this will be a sustainable option is not clear with Enphase locking down local options more and more. For now it would be command scripts with curl to send these to the envoy.

Alternative is to look into an Enphase DIY/Installer account en some custom integration that supports this and may offer more control. Altough this may run into same issues.
